Welcome to my portfolio! Here, you can trace my professional journey and witness my evolution into the dynamic geospatial engineering and analysis field.
Over the past five years, I've played a pivotal role in driving the growth and evolution of an enterprise-grade SaaS product. My success is a result of my ability to navigate new markets, understand customer needs, and adapt to the complex environments of the world's largest enterprises.
Real-world example:
With most of our customers using the platform for employee rewards and recognition, I’ve focused on becoming an expert in this space to better provide a consultative approach in all my conversations. Since the tools and services in the space can vary greatly, I made sure to understand the value of all of the offerings available to HR professionals, not just our direct competition. Combining this industry knowledge with the experience of understanding and navigating complex organizational structures, I have effectively troubleshoot the unique challenges of some of our largest clients and boiled them down into scalable solutions that we can now offer to all our customers.
Last year, I committed to pursuing my interests in geography and have been working towards a career change into GIS and spatial data science. As I have done in my current role, I set a goal for myself and then built a plan. It was apparent very early in my planning process that certification courses were insufficient to operate at the quality or depth required to produce a meaningful GIS data analysis. My Professional Development Plan put this understanding into action.
Starting my journey by learning Python has enabled me to learn both open-source tools and commercial libraries for spatial analysis while simultaneously learning how to perform these tasks within the Esri suite. This has given me a much deeper understanding of the methodology behind each tool while knowing where they fit into the analysis workflow.
